Bock
Hi guys, im planning to build a cheap frag tank. I already have the skimmer, light etc.. but no tank. On the cheap side, i want to use a plastic rubbermaid as a tank. I already see lot of people doing this. I found this plastic box that seems stronger than the clear one and it is a realy nice size. Is this good to use it? Any reason to not use a black tank? 33x19x13 Only downside i see is to look at the coral by the top only..i wish i could find exactly this kind of box in a clear version Link to comment
Halo_003
Well your selling shots will be taken from above anyways so I'd say that's fine. Link to comment
hwk7072
Is it HDPE2? That's food safe. There are others, but that's the safest bet Link to comment
Bock
Ok i will look under for the tag before buying it. Another question, is it hard to place the circulation pump when you have something like 8" of water? im afraid that the pump will be direct on the coral. And what size of pump would you recommand? sunburn
I would think white would work better than black because it would reflect light off the sides and bottom. Link to comment
