IndyPerk
My tank has been humming along fine, and then in the also couple of days this yellow looking stuff has broke out all over one of my rocks. Can someone help me ID the substance and what I can do about it. Thanks! Link to comment
SiRhk
I think that is some kind of sponge, I don't know what kind. I could be wrong. Link to comment
jestep
Yeah, looks sponge or colonial tunicates. They'll typically grow only out of light and will die back if they don't have the nutrients or food to grow. Do you feed frozen? My sponges and tunicates tend to explode when I feed rods or another high quality frozen. Link to comment

Guess they're right when they say they're a complete food. Link to comment
