media tumbler

I've just started stocking my newest DIY. 10g AIO.

 

I am building a square water bottle media tumbler. I used Poly-Filter instead of screens to keep the PhosGuard and bio media pellets in place.

 

This sets on a 400 gph powerhead. I will test media tumble as described tomorrow.

 

I don't have experience using this combination of product in the same chamber. As I only built two chambers in the aio, I have one side to install filtration. I may add algae and a side light to the pump side, but it experiences the up and down of evap..

 

Does anyone here have any experiences to share?

 

I'm building a mixed reef for candy cane colors.
