Alexraptor
A couple of months ago I posted this video with my hammer coral with a very strong feeding response. http://www.nano-reef.com/topic/351463-ever-seen-a-hungy-hammer/ Armed with a brand new Full HD camcorder I thought that today I would introduce you to something of mine with a bit more "subtle" feeding response. seabass
Q: Does this forum have a policy against "bumping" threads? No, not if you don't abuse it. Neat video. Seems to me that "feeding" the coral triggered its feeding tentacles to come out (since food was present). Unfortunately, they didn't get more food once the feeders were out. You might also notice that the feeders come out shortly after lights out. You'll get the best results by feeding the coral when its tentacles are exposed. Link to comment
Begow
Not as high quality but here's mine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YKkOR7MyRrs&list=UUebnnwi9yAIbqVM0qmrXMxg Link to comment

Yeah I know, but as this was a planned shoot I only squirted out food once to trigger the response, as I wanted a clean video without extra distractions/anomalies. I also usually feed a lot more in the whole tank, and after a while I turn on the stream pump, like in the second half of the video, but not the return pump to the sump/refugium. The remaining food that has settled on the substrate or rock is then whipped up into the water column where corals and filter feeders can continue to feed from current. Link to comment
