nismo_sky32
Recently got my cadlights artisan and I'm still undecided on what light to get. The tank is 24x24x20 and i think I've narrowed it down to the kessil 360, radion and hydra 26 ( if this will enough). What do the led experts suggest? Link to comment

ninjamyst
Nanobox Duo should be able to cover 24 x 24. Link to comment
nismo_sky32
Well. What do you want to keep? That would help wouldn't it. I'm a little out of it today. Softies, lps and my rock anemones for now with the possibility of some easy sps later on. Nanobox Duo should be able to cover 24 x 24. Don't get me wrong, i have a tide covering 18x18 right now and love it but I'm looking for something that's a little more refined to the eye. That's why i was thinking a radion or kessil Link to comment

That's why i was thinking a radion or kessil Nanobox, to me, looks way better than either of those options especially with the lime LEDs. Any of those options will work for those options as long as you keep the SPS high in the tank and centered under the light. Radion has the most power out of those listed options, but I'd much prefer a nanobox quad over those options. You're choice, but anyway you put it you're relying on centered clusters that will require you be careful with placement of your corals along the perimeter of your tank. Good luck! Link to comment
ItsOnlyThai
I like the A360WE, but you really can't go wrong with any of the options you listed Link to comment
gus6464
Hydra 52 and Radion XR30 at minimum. Its a deep tank. Link to comment
Horerczy
You could order one of the reefll spotlights that's coming out soon. form factor of a Kessil with the controllability of a radion. Though like the Kessil you'll want to consider how your scape will look to avoid hard shadows all over the place. Link to comment
farkwar
Hydra 52 and Radion XR30 at minimum. Its a deep tank. X2 minimum. Me? I would put 6 Radion pucks across that tank. Link to comment
jedimasterben
Nanobox Duo should be able to cover 24 x 24. No. I have a Nanobox housing that has over twice the output that would typically be put into it by Dave and it does not cover the 24" width of my tank. I would need two rows of the same LEDs to get better results. I'm looking for something that's a little more refined to the eye. That's why i was thinking a radion or kessil wat X2 minimum. This. Spread trumps pure intensity. People are just starting to come around to this thought. Link to comment

jedimasterben
ooo...i thought the duo can cover a 24" cube. my bad. The issue is coverage. A single strip of densely-clustered LEDs just cannot have spread, it's physics. Hence my new array. Link to comment

Halo_003
My vote is for two Nanobox Duo's, as it solves the coverage issue. Link to comment
gus6464
2x hydra 26 but placed with the arrays front to back and then 6 inches apart would also work. Link to comment
bked
I have a frag tank that I've been using as a holding tank while I set-up my new tank. I started with a Kessil A360W but didn't care for the controls. I went with a Radion Gen2 which I am still using but I am not a fan of Ecosmart Live to program the light. I am also running an 8 gallon cube with a Nano Box Mini Tide which is awesome. I've been talking with Dave about lights for my new 120. In my opinion the color of the Nano Box with the easy to use Storm controller is so much nicer than the other lights and they grow corals. I would definitely give the Nano Box Duo or Quad slot in your choices. Plus you can customize the housing. Link to comment
picoreef78
I have a radio which I run at 60%, good growth except in regions of shadow. Hence Ben's suggestion of LED plus T5. Link to comment
