I'm nano fusion 20

Just bought the 10 gallon fusion last week. Now thinking of getting a 20 and moving everything from my 28 nano cube to this tank. I like the look of the tank so much better but hung up on losing 8 gallons. Anyone with the 20 have experience with a nano cube and do you think it's worth switching?

I have a Fusion 20, and while I like the form factor, I basically had to replace everything but the glass to make it serviceable. The stock pump is anemic, and the included media baskets are just awful. I upgraded to a maxi-jet 1200, and to be honest, I probably should have un-split the return and gotten two pumps. I have 2x wp10s with the dual controller that I threw in yesterday, but that's a wee bit overkill :) If I had a Koralia Nano handy to add to the MJ1200 upgrade that would probably be perfect.

As for the media baskets, the Intank variety they make for the Nuvo 16 fit.

If I had it to do over again, I would have gotten a Pico 20, or a plain 20 long tank and added what's needed to it.

Fusion 20

MJ1200 return upgrade

Hydor Koralia 425gph in display (probably going to add another)

trashed the stock baskets, and made a magnetic shelf to hold felt pads or floss. made eggcrate platform to hold CPE/Purigen

Everything seems good now

Thanks for the responses! I went ahead and ordered the tank. I just like the look of it so much better than the 28 nano cube. Now to transfer everything it would be best to use new sand? Should I let it run for a while and cycle before moving everything over? I have never switched tanks before.

It probably would be better to just use new sand. If you have the time and aren't in a hurry I'd add some live rock from your nano cube and let the fusion cycle before moving over everything.

I just moved things from my leaking nuvo 16 into the fusion 20 gal. I did not have time to cycle the new one. I just transferred everything including the sand. So far ammonia 0, Nitrite 0 and nitrate 2. Fish seem happy as well as coral.

Ok went a little crazy got the tank stand and Radion xr15 light. Going to be moving everything from the nano 28 to the 20 in the next few weeks. Little nervous about doing it don't want anything to happen to my clowns and Midas blenny.

Also have the 10 gallon fusion cycling in the bedroom.

mine are still doing fine since i moved everything over. the only thing i did new when i changed it over was the water. levels remain stable. all my fish are eating and all my coral have opened up except one group of zoas but they may have been damage when i put the LR in buckets inbetween tanks since it was attached to one of the pieces.

Glad I went ahead and switched to the new tank. When I was draining the jbj 28 the back wall fell forward into the display all the silicone on the back if the tank separated.
