Thanks, Im excited for this little tank!

I will have to give away my yellow watchman goby but other than that i will be transferring my corals from the bio. As of now i don't have anywhere to safely store my corals and fish so i couldn't cycle with existing tank. Also, Ive had a small aiptasia problem I've been fighting off for a year now in my biocube so much of the rock is going to be unfortunately cooked.

Looking good, when is the sand going in?

After I do my first water change I'm going to syphon some of the deitrus thats accumulated on the bottom on the tank. Then, Sand is going in! :D

Update*

Tank is going through a really nice and mild cycle at the moment. I did my first water change and sucked up a good amount of die off on the bare bottom.

I have already spotted a really nice feather duster on one of the rocks and a couple of small snails.

Sand was ordered over this past weekend along with a Tunze nano osmolator ATO and a Nanobox mini tide light. SO EXCITED!

Cant wait until this damn cycle is over!

Tank is looking good, but be careful with that ATO. Several issues with it sticking on and overflowing tanks. I bought one before I read about the issues and ended up selling it without using it.

This ato specifically ? Hmm I haven't read that, I've seen some decent reviews on the unit. What was making it stick?. The evaporation on my tank is really bad cuz it's so small so this will help balance the water params more closely since I'm not home all day to top off.

Well damn that sucks, thanks for the heads up! I guess Thats enough negative review to send this thing back before I end up screwing myself

Ah this brings back memories. I had this exact same tank about 6 years ago when I was last in the hobby, mainly due to budget constraints as well. I had just started it up, got my diatom bloom, tossed in a CUC and 3 days later (middle of winter) my power went out in a snowstorm for about 45 mins. Came back to everything dead. -.- I wish you a hellof alot more luck and fun with yours then I did with mine. B) Following along to see how it turns out!

Ugh shit that sounds terrible. Hopefully this winter isn't too bad, (living in the Chicagoland area) I would cry if that happened to me. I'll try n take a lot of pictures as the tank progresses

Following, love this tank, want one so bad.

Thanks for the follow! As I said I will def try and take many pictures of the progress! Got my ato and sand in the tank last night

We are already expecting snow tomorrow. The only good thing I can say about my new place is that the power almost never goes out. If it does, its never for more than 5 minutes. My room is always warm so when I set mine up in there (post-tax season) I should be gtg as well.

yup it snowed a little bit last night here, been cool in my room but the tanks are staying nice and warm. Just put that film around the windows and setup a space heater in my room also haha!

Well, Sand and Tunze Nano Osmolator finally added.

Everything seems to be working splendid so far. I had very little trouble setting up the ATO. The reservoir I'm using for the RO water is just a plain ol' 5 gal bucket behind the display for now. Im going to take a look at home depot tomorrow and see if they have any smaller jugs.

waiting game for the nano box mini tide is still in full effect. Very Very excited for that. until then my cycle shall continue!

That looks awesome, brings back good memories. Keep up the good work, I look forward to you eventually tossing in some corals and maybe a CUC or nano fish or something. B)

If you have a Container store in your area they have some nice 3 and 3.5 gal. plastic containers for an ATO - actually all kinda sizes

I do actually I'll pop in and check it out thanks!

This morning I woke up and I've noticed that the sand in the front of the tank is blowing around and it has made a crater from the current :( should have bought heavier aragonite sand
