Mangrove Planted Into Miracle Mud Bed?

This is probably filtration overkill but I had a vision of in the refugium compartment of my sump having my Blue Life USA resinator carbon\phosphate cartridge, plus a tall Tupperware filled with miracle mud with a mangrove planted in it. With a protein skimmer nearby. All this in a 40g reef system. Overkill?

No.

Uptake of nutrients by mangroves is at non filtration speed.

Youll need to show proof to me that a substrate designed to trap poop, in a nano sized tank, is a filter. Designed to grow bacteria that produce hydrogen sulfide.

I want to remove poop from my system. Not collect it and store it (to explode in a nutrient toxic gas holocaust 2 years from now).
