jgaepi
This is probably filtration overkill but I had a vision of in the refugium compartment of my sump having my Blue Life USA resinator carbon\phosphate cartridge, plus a tall Tupperware filled with miracle mud with a mangrove planted in it. With a protein skimmer nearby. All this in a 40g reef system. Overkill? Link to comment
Azedenkae
You can never overkill. XD Well you can, but I think it'll be fine. What sort of lighting are you going to have for it? Link to comment
farkwar
No. Uptake of nutrients by mangroves is at non filtration speed. Youll need to show proof to me that a substrate designed to trap poop, in a nano sized tank, is a filter. Designed to grow bacteria that produce hydrogen sulfide. I want to remove poop from my system. Not collect it and store it (to explode in a nutrient toxic gas holocaust 2 years from now). Link to comment
