dottybackss
I just purchased a small 2' orange plate coral today but I am wondering do they eat fish if a fish sit on it or get too close to it? I have a 2.5' spotted mandarin in my tank. Link to comment

Dr.Brain Coral
No worries. Even if he sits on the coral he will be fine Link to comment
D Z
I have a plate about the same size. To give you an idea of what it is capable of, when spot feeding it, it does not have a very strong grasp on its food. I have to turn all of my pumps off to give it a chance to pull the food into its mouth. This process can take up to 20 minutes, but is very cool to watch. Therefore, like everyone else has said, you do not have to worry about a healthy fish getting grabbed and eaten. Link to comment

dottybackss
Is my plate looks healthy? I only seen it fully open once after I bought it for a week now and also I already feed it once with a lot of mysis. It looks so thin or this is normal? Link to comment
