jabeuy
I moved all my livestock over to a new tank just a few days ago. All corals look great except the xenia and a gorgonian (not all polyps out) But the xenia looks horrible. Is this dying? Temp is at 78-79 degrees. Salinity is 1.025-1.026 Undetectable nitrates and ammonia with API test kits. Link to comment
StevieT
Stressed from move but not dead or dying. It's a weed you'd be fortunate if it dies. Link to comment
k4ndyk1ng
Some Xenias also don't do well is some tanks and just melt away. It is probably just stressed, and will recover Link to comment
jabeuy
Thanks for the input. I'll just let it be for a couple more days then. Just don't want it to foul up the tank when I'm not there haha. Could it be the tank was too clean? I set up the tank with all new water. It was fine for the 1st 2 days, but the last 2 it started drooping. Link to comment
marko
i moved my tank, and kept the xenias attached to the wall of the tank in place, and moved them with the tank dry. they were dry all day (with 100% humidity since i put seran wrap on the top of the tank), and then next day looked way worse than yours. 2 weeks later it was like nothing happened.
