bob115 Posted October 20, 2014 Share Posted October 20, 2014 So my return pump destroyed itself, and I've gotten a replacement pump. Problem is is that its 1/2" too long. So I need to redo the little chamber the pump is supposed to go in. Probably can't silicone it in with water in it. How long would I have to empty the sump for to let the silicone set up? Or is there a better approach to putting a new divider in? Link to comment
Archaic37 Posted October 20, 2014 Share Posted October 20, 2014 Drain it, clean the area where youre going to silicone really well (acetone and a ton of razor blades), let it cure for 24 hours (or recommended time from the silicone). Other option is buy a new tank when petco has their dollar per gallon sale Link to comment
