snip84
As i have problems with dinos or dinoflagelletes (dont know the difference), i just made a 3 day black out covering tank, and today did a 30% water change. It was due to my bad RO filter and silicates got in the system (i think). I also run Ultraphos in my reactor. Anything else to consider? Link to comment
Lawnman
Picture it might just be diatoms or cyano. Link to comment
snip84
cant, they are gone for now. but they just appeared from nowhere. all over the rocks and sandbed. Link to comment
Eisernes
If they disappeared on their own it was probably diatoms. Link to comment
snip84
Jeah, after 3 days light out, heavy skimming, a ultraphos reactor and 30% water change. hope the HA is going to die off to slowly. Link to comment
snip84
The diatoms went back. but just a little on the sandbed. should i turn off the light for a few days more? Link to comment
Tamberav
The diatoms went back. but just a little on the sandbed. should i turn off the light for a few days more? They will just come back when the light does. Sounds like you need to take care of excess nutrients or the silicates. Link to comment
