The chip is very small and covered easily by the gasket. it is also a bottom drill on a 30 gallon and I drilled 1.5x the hole size from the edge... Link to comment

Toddy Posted November 4, 2014 Share Posted November 4, 2014 I did the same thing on my 40 gallon. Instead of using the rubber gaskets that came with the bulkheads I used some GE Silicone. Never had a problem Link to comment

streamline.by.design Posted November 4, 2014 Author Share Posted November 4, 2014 Due to my being a perfectionist, I bought a new piece of glass. I am going to sandwich this piece between two thin pieces, clamp and drill. Should make for a nice clean hole. Link to comment
