Aabiuso
So one of my girlfriends tanks is an aqueon evolve 4 gallon. She now wants to switch it with either the 10x10 or 12x12 deep blue cube..I'm with her it's way nicer and cleaner looking. I was going to just put a aqua clear 20 on the back but then was thinking I could use the old aqueon as a sorta sump type tank. It's an all in one so I would run that filter add a return pump and put a light on it with macro algae..does this sound like a half way decent idea or I'm am I just loosing my mind more than I already have Link to comment
tetraodon
i think its a little small, you would have to top off, constantly, i would do at least a 5.5. plus in a sump, the water levels are lower than you would think to compensate for the drainage of the plumbing. look at something bigger like a 5.5 or a 10 Link to comment
Aabiuso
It's only going on either another 4 or an 8 gallon and it fits good inside the stand we have anything else such as the 5.5 or 10 standard sizes don't fit. Topping off isn't a problem we do it daily as it is. I was just thinking it would be better than putting just a hang on back aquaclear Link to comment
tetraodon
well the biggest problem your going to face is flooding, because the water level for the evolve would over flow if you lost power, but feel free to experiment, thats half the fun Link to comment
