In a house far far away stood an aquarium of 65 gallons with a 40 gallon sump and all the toys.... met a girl, new job, married, moved away, and a baby on the way.. Needless to say life got in the way and had no time for a tank. Now that I'm settled I decided it was time to start another.

I wanted to start at 120 gallon however we have wood floors and I know how wet they'd get so it had to reside in the rec room. With limited wall space I decided it had to be small. I always loved the look of a cube. Wanted the 60 gallon but with a baby on the way I knew I had to be conscious of budget. I finally settled on the Solana. Great dimensions and the price was right.

Our LFS runs a 4 for 10 sale. If you know what your looking at you can grab some good corals. Most are browned out and need some TLC but once they acclimate to the tank and get going they color up nicely. I was able to get a bunch out of there. Then various 10 and 20 dollar frags.

A few updates. I spent some money this week..should have most everything by the end of next week.

Set up my ATO last night. Going to grab a different container today. Also dealing with a slime algae issue so I ordered some phosban to help with any silicates or phosphates. My nitrates are 0 so that's my only explanation.

I have an Mp10 on the way as well as an SL 1 with pH probe for the reefkeeper

. I will need to start dosing soon as I have a good amount of lps, with no sign of slowing. Calcium and alk test on order along with some kalk. The kalk I'll mix with my ato water. I did this in the past with great results.

My one clown is showing signs of what I believe to be lymphocystis. He is eating a lot and very active. He shows no signs of distress. Going to continue to feed and keep an eye on him. It should resolve on its own. I believe that's all for updates!

Did some house keeping today.

Cleaned the tank

Built a snail guard for the top off.

Set up the Mp10 and removed the other pumps.

Programmed the reefkeeper to control the top off per the pH.
