SonRK
Hey Guys I haven't added anything to my tank since June I only have Ammonia / Nitrite / Nitrates testers so I will report back with those here later. Basically, I'll let the pictures and video do the talking: http://i.imgur.com/orS6zXp.jpg http://i.imgur.com/QUEXSOI.jpg http://i.imgur.com/FydQ0Xs.jpg you can really see them sway in the video. These just started sprouting up in the past week . I do about 15% water change every 1.5 weeks, and just did a 7 gallon change (30 gallon tank) a few days ago The tank is about 7 months old, so I know there's still lots of "maturing" to be done. I run ChemiPure, Purigen, and ordinary filter flosses. No Protein Skimmer since the PLS-50 never stopped shooting microbubbles, so I got rid of it. Should I do 10% water change every few days now and mix up that area? Link to comment
hey
looks like cyano, I would increase flow over the area to try to get more nutrients into the water column to be exported and also vacuum clean the sand bed where it is growing. It won't go away over night but it will go away eventually as long as you are keeping the nutrients in the water column where they are able to be exported. Link to comment
jedimasterben
Looks to be just a simple cyanobacteria. Dinos really only take over in lower nutrient systems. Link to comment
