dling
I'm building a tank using Momentive 103 RTV adheasive. I saw bubbles so between the glass panels and now I'm trying to take it apart without breaking the glass. The panels have no space between them now even for a thin razor blade. I need something to soften the break down the RTV. I looked on line and have come across something but I have to order it. I hoping to find something that I can just go to a big box store and buy. reefone
you can try some denatured alcohol or a heat gun to soften the silicone. any way you chose to remove it will be a lot of hand work to get the piece clean again. Link to comment
dling
I tried alcohol but it diden't seem to be doing very good. Not sure about the heat gun,I could give it a try. I'm really hoping to get something that will just make it soft enough that I can pull the glass apart then clean and re-try. Link to comment

Big box stores sell chemical silicone solvents and you should be able to use on of those in addition to trying rubbing alcohol but that takes a lot longer to work especially if you are trying to remove silicone that is wedged between glass and for instance a bulkhead Link to comment

mechishark7
Did you try acetone? That stuff will eat through a lot of different things and it's cheap like denatured alcohol Link to comment
