Thomas898
Hey guys, I have recently introduced (around 5 days ago) an acanthopyllia deshayesiana (button/meat coral) to my tank, just curious to know if it is actually opening properly when feeding? This is a pic of it after a target feeding of lobster eggs this morning, but I haven't been able to find much info online about what they should look like open, and I keep telling myself it looked different at my LPS! Any future general care advice would be appreciated Link to comment
jestep
Looks fine. My scoly does that when I feed rods frozen and other random times. Normally retracts and looks normal again once it feels it wont get any more food. Link to comment
NorthGaHillbilly
Looks like a very happy meat, any pic of it normally, looks similar to my green one from what I can see Link to comment
Thomas898
Thanks for the help guys, introduced an open brain coral today, cool yellow and green colouring, has opened up in a very similar manner after about an hour in the tank! Good signs UPDATE This is a picture of said coral in case any one wanted to see, has been doing well and opening since being introduced Link to comment
