ABC
Hello everyone, I'm new to NR, and been keeping a saltwater tank for about a year. About a month ago my DT got marine velvet ( I believe) all my fish were dead in about 36 hours. I placed all my inverts in a 12x12x12 cube and love how this tank looks, I also kept some live rock and my zoas. I thought starting a thread would be neat to see how my tank progress over time and also get some help when needed. A lot of the threads on NR seem like fun to follow. When I figure how to attach a photo I will. Link to comment

Hopefully will be ready to get wet this weekend. Link to comment
ABC
Finally got the new build up and running, still got plenty work to do on it. A couple of pictures of how it looks now. I still have to build a screen top, And my clowns have been bugging the feather duster. I think I'm going to build a protector, for the feather duster out of the extra material for the screen top. ABC
Looks clean and pretty. I like the blue back - did you use film? I used Krylon Fusion, in a rattle can to paint the back. It's the first time I have painted the back of a tank, and I like the look. I also think it causes less stress on the livestock, IMO , because the back feels like a rock wall or something. ABC
I wake up this morning, and the coral banded shrimp that I just added to my 19 gallon, got his legs caught under a rock and tore off all his legs on that side of his body. He can't swim walk I'm wondering if I should put him out of his misery before he dies in my tank. Link to comment
ABC
Not too much has changed with my tank. But today I did a water change and added a Apex controller Still have some work to clean it up and I need to add a wireless adapter. So far I love what it can do though. Link to comment
ABC
After I got the Apex I realized my PH was too low, about 7.6. I switched to filtered ocean water about a month ago also I have noticed some Zoas not acting as well in the last month. I'm thinking about trying Kalkwasser in my top of water. I have checked alkalinity and calcium and both are on the low side of good. Calcium about 400 API test kit Alkalinity was 2 new/l according to seachem's test. Any thoughts on using Kalkwasser in a nano reef?? Link to comment
