I've bee using two part for about 2 months and have my daily amount down..but one thing that confuses me am supost to dose on a water change day? Or do skip that day?

I use 2 part and I dose the day after my WC when I test my parameters.

It depends on the alkalinity and calcium of your tank before the WC and of the alkalkinity and calcium of the water for your WC. If you think about doing a water change in terms of dosing, you can easily figure out exactly how much alk and ca you will be "adding" with a water change and then adjust your dosing accordingly.

 

You can use this formula to figure out how much ca and calcium you are "dosing" with a water change:

( [WC Alkalinity] - [Tank Alkalinity] ) * ( [WC Volume] / [Tank Volume] ) = Alkalinity Delta

 

Once you know how much Alkalinity and Calcium your WC will be adding, you can adjust your dosage down. If the change in Alkalinity is more than you would dose in a single day, then you may have to adjust the following day(s) dosage.
