Mushroom only 5 or 10 gallon?

I had been planning to start up a mostly mushroom or mushroom only tank in a 5 or 10 gallon tank.

However, after rearranging some things in my current tank, my mushrooms are incredibly happy and have blown up in size - the biggest being about 3 inches across!

Does this happen with most mushrooms? Only certain mushrooms? Do I need to rethink my choice in such a small tank?

Low flow or low light make mine poof up. Maybe one of those changed?

They poofed up after I moved some rocks and I think this gave them better flow. I'm really happy they are happy!!

I'm just not sure now if a 5 or 10 gallon would be good as a mushroom only tank. I want my corals to be happy and wouldn't want to stunt their growth on purpose just for the sake of fitting more and different varieties in a small tank.

Are there types of mushrooms that stay small? Or maybe a ricordea only would be better for something of this size?

I think a mushroom tank would be cool. There are only a billion colors and varietys.

I wouldn't worry about them being unhappy, if they don't like a spot, they just move to a new one. Low light and low to moderate flow throughout the tank would probably keep everyone happy.

Mushrooms, ricordia, hairy mushrooms, rhodactis mushroom, st homas mushrooms are some off the top of my head.

Rhodactis probably come in the most impressive color patterns. I have a few rhicordia's in the middle of rhodactis patch and everyone seems happy so you could probably mix and match.

I always said to myself, if my current mixed reef jar fails, i will salvage my xenia and mushrooms, and star a mushroom only tank with xenia on the back wall XD ( it would make my life much simpler.

I think that would be way cool in. A 5 or 10 gallon tank. Florida ricordia are nice and stay small. So many to choose from! I would get the most colorful ones I could afford.
