krourke85
Hey all, Everyone's been so helpful with my questions, I thought I'd try and give back by sharing my DIY refugium. It's been working great for the first 3 weeks, already exported to caulerpa and the cage is almost fully rooted Link to comment
krourke85
Quick update: This is the refugium after a few weeks. Looks like I'll be exporting about a tennis ball's worth of algae every 3 weeks. Side note - you will need the right type of algae scraper for this, as rear-lit refugiums create a lot of glass algae! MarsRover
Hey, mega intersted in what you have here. What is the container you are using for your 'fuge? I was reading your posts in http://www.nano-reef.com/topic/350420-any-hints-for-biological-reduction-of-nitrate/ and i am of the same mindset, i'd like my tank to be more self sustaining as, isn't that the cool part about our mini-oceans? So i'm intersted in doing something similar to what you have here on my Macintosh tank. I'd love your input. thanks Link to comment
