Amy
I have just noticed some flatworms in my 5 gallon nano..... I got a new nice piece of rock for this tank, it has quite a few holes so god knows who lives in there. I know there is Salifert Flatworm X Can you use Prazipro to kill them as well? I would just like to hear from others that have these little buggars. I can get Flatworm X but if Prazipro will kill them I already have that. Send any info my way Link to comment

Send any info my way I had some i because my 4g is so small i just used a pipette to get them out. I feel i can control their levels in such a small tank. if you had like a 10g more use the product. http://www.nano-reef.com/topic/351567-red-mushroom-has-mark-on-it/#entry4836129 Link to comment
Amy
The problem is my one large piece of rock I have in this tank has many holes and I don't know what is deep inside this rock, there could be a whole colony in there for all I know. Link to comment
hey
unless the FW are bothering your corals leave em be and don't feed as much. Their population will self regulate like most other pests in our tanks over time with limited nutrients going in. Link to comment
Amy
To late, they are gone. Flatworm Exit works like a charm, just about to do a water change and new charcoal in there. I hate to add anything to my little tank, but with my luck in no time they would take over my tank and really be a pain. Great product if anyone is thinking about using it. I had approx. 10 in total in the tank, a few I killed before I did the chemical addition I feed very light as it such a small tank, my porcelain crab gets one tiny pellet each day he takes rightaway, then I feed the two rock flower anemones 2 times a week which they gobble it right up. So I would say its pretty clean. But the best part they are gone. Link to comment
seabass
They might be gone, but a new batch will hatch (as their eggs will not be destroyed). Do a couple follow up treatments a couple of weeks apart to kill the newly hatched flatworms (even if you can't see them). I don't know why they don't include this on the instructions. Amy
Perfect I was planning on doing it, do I just do the one time follow up or more? I know it came with this new chunk of rock as it was never in the previous tank I have my magnifying glass going all the time, husband thinks I am nuts. The only thing that did not care for this stuff in the water was the rock flower anemones, it did not hurt them bit you could see they were not happy. All is good for now till follow up Link to comment

Amy
Formula462: tank is only 5 gallons, don't think a wrasse would be happy in that size home. kidnatural: that is good to know atroz: I realize some are suppose to be okay but I don't want any, have not heard of people though wanting them in their tank.
