DIY CNC Reef 618 Fixture

Working on my custom CNC 618 LED fixture (Ill update this post later with all the details).

For now I have a question... I'm using two Lumia 5.2 pucks and 4 3-up stars with 2-Lime and 1-RB on each.

I have some options for how to mount the stars, which layout (side) do you guys think I should do? I had CNCReef pre-drill the fixture so the layout on the left I can do with screws whereas the right Ill need to use some thermal adhesive (which I have).

Put some TechFlex on that loom?

I wish i can have that fixture...shipping international would burn a hole in my wallet.
Just buy a bunch more Jebao stuff at half off, then you can afford it with the money you saved.

Since neither option would be permanent, try em both. It doesn't look like much of a space difference; basically you just want to make sure you don't get funky disco

Finally made some time to run the wire and get it all soldered up. I'm missing techflex for the wire coming out of the gooseneck that runs to the LDD driver box though so I can't finish it until tomorrow when I stop by frys.

Heres what it looks like right now.

All wiring is done. Everything works amazingly (holy crap this is brighter then the sun) except my blue channel (lumia channel 2) wont light past a tiny faint glimmer. Also one of the 5 Blues on the left puck is dead. The dimmer is working well as its outputting the right dimming signal into the LDD. But no matter what it seems the LDD is outputting 48v and the lights stay at a really low level regardless of dimming level. Do you guys think the led that won't light is dead and killing the string?

Edit: Just took a closeup pic and it looks like the wire inside the LED is blown.

Hi, hos is your lightbuild going.

Did you get a new lumia chip?

I like the lock and dimentions of the asis, wondering If this is the way too go.

Build is mostly done and the light has been over the tank for about a month now. I have a problem with the gooseneck, the tubing is too flexible and doesn't support the weight of the light so it sags down. CNCReef is getting me a more "heavy duty" gooseneck so hopefully that alleviates the problem. Kind of frustrated I will have to re-run the wiring but such is life.

Moving to a 100g tank soon and waiting to see if the new gooseneck fixes the problem. If it does, ill be building a copy of this fixture.

The LEDs and colors are great. I have way too much white as I keep the white channel at like 20% vs 80% on the others. Some colors in my corals are coming out that were not visible with my Reefbreeders fixture so that's pretty cool.
