Where does clownfish sleep when anemone closes?

So my clown was just spotted down in my anemone (finally!!!!!!!) and presumably this will be his new bed. What i dont understand is what happens when the lights go out and its time for bed but the anemone closes up and becomes tiny. Wasnt that the purpose of the nem? Will it now stay open at night to host the clown throughout the night? Im just picturing the lights going out and the clown going to his anemone for bed to find that its shriveled up into itself under the rock nowhere to be found. Any insight on this?

The fish will stay in it as long as it's open. Some anemones don't close when the lights go out, but others do. If the anemone closes, the fish usually still stay next to it.

One more question, do Clowns ever randomly stop hosting the anemone? or once hes in it is he in it for life?
Usually they stay in it for life unless you buy another one. My clowns switch between the 8 I have in my tank. Also when mine closes my clown still rubs on the outside of it or finds another one. Bit mine usually stay open all night.

Wait until you get close to the nem and that clowns gives you a good nip ;).

Usually the Nem with deflate at night but still stay large enough for the clown to hangout. Know that if you only have one nem in the tank that little clown is going to "defend" it with his life. If you're going to get two clowns put them both in at once before/ after you put in the nem or it will be a lot harder to put in a second clown later
