Steve's LEDs in an Oceanic BioCube 14 hood - cosmetic damage

I installed Steve's LED kit (very nice) in my Oceanic BioCube 14, but fatigue got the better of me and I mangled the hood badly while trimming the vents to maximize airflow. Been browsing the forums, Craigslist and eBay for a replacement hood but coming up empty so far.

 

While I'm looking around I figured I'd ask if anyone else make the same mistake and what they did to cover it up.

If you gouged the hood trimming the vents, then just get a fan screen (the mesh style that blocks dust, not the wire ones) that is one size bigger and bolt it to the hood over the vent. Covers up your mistake, and adds dust filtration to the setup.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll see if I can track one down that doesn't look dreadful.
