Antiblink Posted September 18, 2014 Share Posted September 18, 2014 So I'm getting back into the hobby and ordered this fish tank, I've heard horror stories of all the old Nuvos exploding or the silicone disintegrating. Does anyone have any experience with this? I ordered the new FUsion and it was on backorder with Marine Depot. I would hope Innovative Marine fixed the issues they had with this new line. Cameron6796 Posted September 19, 2014 Share Posted September 19, 2014 You should,not have to worry the explosion issue was based on the fact that they made atank with glass to thin. Also the curved corners were weak and curved glass is under a lot of stress. You'll be fine. Link to comment
farkwar Posted September 21, 2014 Share Posted September 21, 2014 Ya, the ultra thick 6mm glass fixed all their problems. I was really looking at the 10 as a countertop tank. Not anymore after reading about Tibbsy's trials with his. IM seems like they are just learning how to make things as they go along. Theres a long thread about it in the Marine Depot Sponsor forum. Ive wrote and deleted several posts. Its not Marine Depots fault for IM design faults, so I dont think that forum is the right one to post criticisms in. Not very reassuring. Link to comment

I am also going to order one of the Nuvo 20's if my LFS is out of them... Link to comment
