APLATN13
Well, I was limited on what mount I could buy so I design one myself and send it off to be made Link to comment
Skuba
Looks good. I've changed my mind about 10 times on designing one for my xr15. Mounted on the rim isn't a great option since the bonehead I am mounted the overflow box in the center of my tank. How'd you attach yours? Link to comment
Justind823
Nice. Looks like it's floating in that last shot. Link to comment
Paandemonium
This is crazy! I love it lol Link to comment
gus6464
That looks really good. If you don't mind me asking how much did it cost you to get that custom made? Was it cheaper than the RMS mount? Link to comment
farkwar
Nice. Looks like it's floating in that last shot. That looks awesome. Very nice. That looks really good. If you don't mind me asking how much did it cost you to get that custom made? Was it cheaper than the RMS mount? TapPlastics charges $40 per hour for custom work. Pretty affordable. It looks better than the RMS mount by a wide margin. I would have made it in black myself(erroneously), the clear is definitely better. Link to comment
APLATN13
That looks really good. If you don't mind me asking how much did it cost you to get that custom made? Was it cheaper than the RMS mount? Cost me $145 tax and all. More then I wanted to pay. This is the only Acrylic place and everything is done by hand there. So it cost alittle more but I am happy with the results! Link to comment
ecam315
Do you have a picture of how you mounted it to the Tank? I have a smaller heatsink with a couple clusters in it, and was thinking of making a mount like this. Link to comment
Spiderguardnano
that is to sick is it possible to get some shots of the actual mount or some picture to recreate it. cant believe how sick it looks Link to comment
Eckozulu
Love it. How did you send the plans to tap? Link to comment
APLATN13
Let me redraw my drawings and I will post it on the site Here is more pics of the mount and my setup. Moved tank to new stand instead of my desk and wired up all the goodies Also, thinking about swapping out the 120* lens for the 80* to get less over coverage that I am getting atm. MOJOEJOEJOE
now all you need to do is make the wire transparent LOL. This really looks cool though...... Link to comment
Horerczy
Masking tape or painters tape at least about 1" wide. Tape the wire to the wall so it's covered then paint over the tape in the color of the wall. Wouldn't be as hidden as flatwire products but it should work. Link to comment
mrkotabear
Looks good! Thinking of doing that with 1/4th thick acrylic and bending it with a heat gun. Putting magnets to hold it covered with epoxy, and putting the led either on the top or hangjng it Link to comment
mrkotabear
What are your dimensions of the fixture if ya don't mind me asking? Link to comment
