Nehsmit
Hey all, I have a 24g tank with a pistol shrimp who is AMAZING. He was paired with a yasha hashi goby until he jumped. Then he paired with a YWG who disappeared a few months later. In both cases the pistol was always shy and never came out much. Since he has been alone, he is the life of the tank. Moves around freely all day long. Now looking to pair him again. What do you recommend? Only request is a fun goby who will not be shy. The other 2 rarely came out. I want one that is not shy and will swim around. Only other fish is a clown. Thanks in advance. Link to comment
ElmoC
I have a yellow clown goby who is always out. Not sure if he would pair up with the shrimp or not. But it sounds like you would want one that wouldn't pair up so the shrimp would stay out. Link to comment
printerdown01
If you are looking for something to pair up a Yasha or a Randals are pretty killer. Any fish that lives in a hole and acts as a shrimps lookout and bodyguard is going to be a bit shy... Hence them living near a hole that they can duck into. Once established they will spend most of their time out -but they will mostly swim around the hole -not around the tank. Other out and about gobies: Yellow clown gobies are great and have a lot of personality -as do green clown gobies. Green bar gobies can also have a bit of a personality -or they can reside in the shadows is just depends on the individual. Blue striped gobies are also usually out and about but are not as striking as the other options listed above -still have personality plus though. Link to comment
gogo
my black rays are quite active, and personable... not jumpers. Link to comment
TommyBrooo
I got a mated pair of yellow rose prawn gobies that paired up with my pistol shrimp. They are very nice and you don't see too many either Just realized black rays are another name for these gobies haha Link to comment
Spenseriana
Hi amigo, I've been scanning your posts looking for a journal thread. I'm looking at a used Cardiff tomorrow evening with the intent to buy it off a local guy. So I'm looking for other reefers with Cardiffs. Would you mind loading some pics of your scape? I'm trying to decide if this is a good direction for me. Also, anything I should plan on upgrading from the stock equipment? Thanks so much. Link to comment
