Its been two weeks now. Nothing has really changed. Put the stock pump back in, have it on the back wall. Thinking of getting a spin stream for it. The in tank skimmer does not work with the 606. It reduces water flow too much with the 606. My starfish, three snails and spaghetti worm are all alive still and crawling around.IMG_20140922_120516765_HDR_zpsz8l3dqqe.j

This is the In-Tank skimmer that attaches to the flow gate? I too have the 606 pump and was going to order the basket and skimmer on in-tank.com but if it reduces the flow too much, i'll hold off.

I've cut the skimmer down all the way and it still reduces the flow too much. My hydor deflector agatates the surface just enough and my water is crystal clear.

Decided against the spin stream for my stock pump on the side wall. It will just take up too much room. I am wanting to replace the hydor deflector with the spin steam at some point. The hydor creates a lot of surface turbulence. The spin stream looks like it sits lower in the tank.

So the hydor Theo heater is doing a good job of keeping my tank at a constant temp. Its calibration is way off and I have to set it at 72°F to keep my tank at 79. It was only $20 though, its $15 at Foster and Smith.

Got a new tank inhabitant! I forgot to ask for extra shells for him. I haven't seen nassarius snail for a few days. I think I buried him under a rock when I was moving stuff around :(IMG_20140928_174609241_HDR_zps3ipj3szf.j

Totally ^ really liking these, just not all the mods they need. Thinking of going rimless and an ac30 on an ada and a similar scape to yours. I'll be following. If you need anything ask we are here to help... Oh yeah and yell at you when you fail ...jk

Love the island, if you have some basic power tools you could probably (once your set on the placement of the island) make a flat side and glue the rock to the wall for a cleaner look

Wow - very unique and creative idea with the "shelf." Haven't seen that yet- nicely done!!

Did you end up with the Par 38 it looks like? Very similar to mine? Wonderful wonderful light!! Can't wait to see more!!

. I got the par 30. I'm really liking it. Got some zoas today! A local reefer in the area reef club gave me a frag of Jack and Cokes and a frag of Radioactive Dragon Eyes. So far they don't want to open for me yet.IMG_20141015_101825115_HDR_zpsvuttunxz.jIMG_20141015_102038283_HDR_zps26mtljtf.j
