Dula Posted September 10, 2014 Share Posted September 10, 2014 Hello everyone, So a few years ago I was in Berlin and lost my point and shoot camera on the s-bahn (if anyone has found please let me know... it was red lol). So to replace the camera I went and sprung on a Samsung NX11. From my limited knowledge of photography I hear it is basically like a DSLR just without a mirror and has a light sensor. Does anyone have any experience with this camera? Link to comment
seabass Posted September 12, 2014 Share Posted September 12, 2014 No experience with it; but yes, it is a mirrorless camera with an APS-C size sensor. I only see a 60mm macro lens for it. Is it for tank shots or just general photography? Link to comment

seabass Posted October 8, 2014 Share Posted October 8, 2014 Any lens should give you decent full tank shots. Put the camera on a tripod (with the lens surface parallel to the front glass of your tank) Shut off the lights in the room (leaving just your tank lights on) Don't use a flash For coral, set the aperture to f8 (aperture priority mode should give you a decent exposure, but manual mode will give you even more control) For fish, use shutter priority mode Use the custom white balance to reduce the blue from your lights A macro lens (like the one I linked above) will allow for some impressive close ups Link to comment
