Samsung NX11

Hello everyone,

So a few years ago I was in Berlin and lost my point and shoot camera on the s-bahn (if anyone has found please let me know... it was red lol). So to replace the camera I went and sprung on a Samsung NX11. From my limited knowledge of photography I hear it is basically like a DSLR just without a mirror and has a light sensor.

Does anyone have any experience with this camera?

Any lens should give you decent full tank shots.

  • Put the camera on a tripod (with the lens surface parallel to the front glass of your tank)
  • Shut off the lights in the room (leaving just your tank lights on)
  • Don't use a flash
  • For coral, set the aperture to f8 (aperture priority mode should give you a decent exposure, but manual mode will give you even more control)
  • For fish, use shutter priority mode
  • Use the custom white balance to reduce the blue from your lights
  • A macro lens (like the one I linked above) will allow for some impressive close ups
