Good LFS on Long Island, NY?

Does anyone know of any good local fish stores on Long Island, NY?

I've been to many in the past few months, and they're either more focused on fish than corals or cater to 100G+ tanks.

They also have a huge attitude and don't care about the customer and just care about making sales.

I've gone as far as 45 minutes away from home and since been deterred from going farther from seeing what is already out there.

Any good LFS out there that actually care about their customers and their tanks?

where on long island?

country critters of patchougue has a great selection, but prepare to be talked down to as if you are a child and have false information fed into you, all while paying more than a premium.

about 15 minutes down 112 from country crittters is aquahut. they dont look good on paper. they have old metal halide bulbs that brown stuff out, very old tanks, and the store in general is just old. a vast majority (if not all) of their stuff is mari-cultured or captured, but believe me, they pass the savings on to you. i have gotten softball sized colonies of birdsnest before for around 15 dollars. BOP....really wish i didnt kill it. everyone except sometimes the one girl is extremely helpful, nice, and knowledgable. dude with the guages and tattoos is my favorite to deal with.

aquahut does seem to carry much more fish than coral, but they have probably quadrupled their coral stock in the past year-2years and it seems like its still growing.

Thanks! I've been to aquahut before, thats the 45 minute drive for me. I must say they do have a huge selection of fish and I have seen some corals there, but a lot of them seemed way too big for my tank (Fluval Spec II). Thanks again

unfortunalty 45 minutes is good for us here on the island. lol. i drive about 40 minutes for country critters and about an hour for aquahut. anything between me and those stores are either drygoods-only stores, or crap petland discount stores that arent even worth thinking about looking into.
