Anyone have any experience with this fish as far as reef safe or with other tank mates especially with Six line? Thinking of these new addition to the tank, would it be overstocking? I only have a pair of clowns now. My total tank volume is 18 gallon with the DIY sump.

both are known to get aggressive and require more space imo for a 12. You may get away with 1 or the other in there added after the goby and firefish but it may just harass and stress the other fish out. I also think both would end with lots of fin nips.

Ok well I wanted an angel fish but Flame angel is too big and Pygmy is the only choice. I guess I'll go with Six Line, I had one before but he died in QT, he was not aggressive toward the fire fish at the time though. Any other recommendation with an active personality like these guys? really like Six line for the way it cruise all over the tank and have glasses over his eyes.

centropyge tend to be hiders anyways except in the case of the more aggressive ones like the lemon peel. As far as fish I think you are rly at the limit with 3 in a 12 as your initial plan. If a few months down the road you feel like its stable enough for a 4th id tackle that issue then.

In my 28 I have a bonded clown pair,a six line and a cherub pygmy, granted its bigger than the tank you're speaking of but they're all fine with one another. The wrasse required removal a while due to it harassing the angel but all's fine now.
