NorthGaHillbilly
Im not much of an SPS guy up to this point, but had a guy locally selling an acro colony that I couldnt pass up. As you can see its got thin branches, but dense growth. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to what kind of Acro it might be. NorthGaHillbilly
come on now, I know we've got some SPS brains around here Link to comment
jestep
My first thought was a lokani or granulosa. The branch density is often dependent on water flow so it can change quite a bit depending on the conditions. Link to comment

It's definitely not a Lokani or Granulosa - I have one of each and they look nothing like that. Both Lokani and Granulosa are smooth skinned with tiny polyps and few radial corallites. My best guess is A. Nana or A. Pulchra Link to comment

Pulchra A. nana looks pretty close to me, expecially when I looked into corallite growth Link to comment
CrazyCarl
coralsee.org is a website with an acropora key. I have tried to ID corals with it and its kinda hit or miss, but worth a shot. Link to comment

Thats what Im going to go with for now, not that it makes any difference really, but its neat to have some idea. Thanks guys This picture of a nana looks very similar, with some time maybe mine will color up like this a Link to comment
jestep
If the colors in your picture are accurate, I think it has a lot of potential. Link to comment
