grafxalien
Hello- I have had this white slime in my tank for a while, never could figure out what it was/how to get rid of it. It seems to be spreading now so I want it gone. Any ideas? It seems to grow on a piece of black acrylic in the back first. It is now on the live rock and starting to move on to coral. When I take the LR out of the tank it is very slimy and hard to remove. A tooth brush does nothing. #2 Link to comment
metrokat
Bacterial imbalance. Dr Tims works on it. Google White reef slime for more answers. Link to comment
grafxalien
So the slime has been getting better and worse and I cant figure it out. I am always hesitant on additives so I have been just doing more water changes and really focusing on removing debris from the sump. It has once again gotten worse today. I was replacing my seachem seagel today that runs in a 2 little fishies reactor and I noticed that the filter pads in it were nearly completely clogged up with this crap. The tank is also looking cloudy again. I have ordered new test kits as my old ones were expired. Calc, alk and mag are a little on the low side. The rest of the test kits should be here tomorrow. I have some pics of the reactor covered in this crap.Still think it is bacterial and I should try Dr tim products? 2 Link to comment
