Jbrock183
I recently added a pair if feather dusters that are attached at the base of a clam shell. The one feather duster is doing fine. But the other shed his crown within the first few hours. The one that shed its crown is the taller of the 2 - about 6inches long. His head is pinched together very tight. It also looks as if there are 2 worms in the tube. One at the base and one at the top. There is a good two inch section between them that looks empty and is practically transparent. The crown is laying flat on the sand bed in the far corner of my tank. Is this a sign of reproduction or is the poor thing dead? Link to comment
johnmaloney
It could be splitting, just give it time I wouldnt remove him. Link to comment
ALW
Mine dropped both its crowns about a month ago. After 2 weeks or so I noticed 2 small crowns growing again! Now it has been a month and they are nicer than ever. Link to comment
johnmaloney
It would be cool if there were a database of feather dusters like there is for other species. Sponges, and anemones also get little attention. Fish databases galore though. Link to comment
