PAR 38 (24 WATTS LED) for 8 gallon nano cube

Hi everyone

8 gallon JBJ rimless nano cube.

I've been running a JBJ Flipper FL-208 10.8 LED Light, but that system seems really weak. The JBJ website states, "While the total wattage usage is only 6.3 watts, the total output is measured around 19 watts." After doing some research, that seems weak on watts plus someone told me the light I run probably won't help with coral growth.

So If found a really good deal on a brand new Par 38 light with mounting stand.

FULL SPECTRUM - PAR 38 (24 WATTS LED) 1 VIOLET, 1 RED, 1 GREEN, 5 BLUE AND 4 WHITE

The guy who sold it to me was really cool and honest. He said a Par 38 might be too strong for my tank, but I bought anyways and my plan is to keep the light pretty high above the tank as a starting point.

Do you guys think my tank will be ok? My live rock peaks at about the mid way point of my tank so it's not like I'll ever have coral very high in the tank.

Also, how high above the water line should I keep this light?

Thanks in advance.

I run a par 38, with similar specs than what you bought on my 7.5G cube and have it about 2 feet away so that it doesn't fry my LPS. SPS don't seem to mind, even if it's closer.
