Coolhandreefer
So I'm planning a tank build and trying to figure something out with a DIY stand. Say I'm doing a 36x18 inch tank but I want the stand to be a little larger for a sump and just to have some extra elbow room. Can I build a frame with the dimensions of 44x22 inches out of 2x4s and then put 3/4th inch plywood for the top? Will this stand be ok since the tank won't be sitting on the 2x4s since the footprint of the stand is larger? Thanks for the help! Link to comment
Hecdr34
Add a few 2x4s going across from front to back and you'll be fine You could also add another sheet of 3/4" plywood if you want to sleep better at night Link to comment

farkwar
Are those 2x4s? No. Its steel. Its 36x18. It will fit the 40 breeder, or ADA 90x. Link to comment
