Jbrock183
I just purchased a nice rock covered in snowflake polyps. The place where I want to put it is very near my zoas. Is this a bad idea? Link to comment
Angel<3Nanos
I just purchased a nice rock covered in snowflake polyps. The place where I want to put it is very near my zoas. Is this a bad idea? They wont sting your zoas, but they sure as hell will not give the zoas anymore place to grow. Those things grow mad crazy. lol Link to comment
Jbrock183
I really don't mind if I end up with a ton of snowflakes. But I also don't want to stunt the growth of my zoas. Here is where I have it placed for now. Link to comment
Angel<3Nanos
There's tons of space. I say leave it there. Link to comment
Jbrock183
I thought so too but needed some reassurance. Thanks! Link to comment
jservedio
In a couple years (or maybe not even that long) every single rock in your tank will be covered in them. When I was in NC we had a couple local tanks that you literally (and not literally in a "news anchor" sense) couldn't see a single piece of rock - they had a normal, fairly densly populated mixed reef, but between the corals where you would normally see LR you could only see snowflake polyps. There were tens of thousands of polyps. Link to comment
