Hi

I've got a interpet river reef 94l. I have just got round to putting the mentioned protein skimmer in.

I've had issues setting it up. The instructions are too vague. Im unsure as to how it should be running.

1)should the bubbles come up into the funnel?

2)should the collection cup fill with water?

 

Any answers or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Generally speaking, the bubbles should come up to just past the base of the funnel, The collection cup should not be filling with clean water. It might run for several days before you get any skimmate (due to a break in period for all skimmers). Once you start getting skimmate, you can start to fine tune it for a wetter or a darker skimmate (lower the level of bubbles slightly for a darker skimmate, raise the level for a wetter/lighter skimmate).
