Prozac828
Nobody seems to have posted any of these new tanks from IM. So I think I will start. It is cycling now but I will be adding mostly LPS and mushroom coral to this tank. I will post as it grows. Equipment: IM fusion 10 Cobalt neotherm heater Ecotech radion XR15w pro Link to comment
NanoDiver
I've got the 20 and was wondering about the 10's! Can't wait to see it unfold. Link to comment
Prozac828
Well so far i really like it. I have already come across a few minor problems i will have to overcome. For instance with the light i have chosen and method of mounting, i.e. the RMS mount, it will not be possible to add a skimmer in the middle chamber. But i believe i will just add some macro algae in there instead and do large water changes. I have already upgraded the pump and have the NUVO spin nozzles for my return. Overall though i very nice tank for the price and size. But i can see where the 20G does have a lot more advantages. Ask away if you have any questions Link to comment
jbb
Went to order the 10 for my daughter today but MD says out of stock. I love my 20 so far. Will be tagging along. Link to comment
Prozac828
If you don't wanna wait for the restock of MD, i found they have it in stock here. http://www.aquariumspecialty.com/innovative-marine-nuvo-fusion-nano-10-gallon-aquarium Link to comment
Prozac828
This is my final aquascape. I love the grey/black sand I got from seachem. And then u can see in the second photo how limited by space I am because of the mount. Link to comment
Reefkid88
I was JUST looking at one of these at my lfs today, such awesome little tanks. I tried seeing if anyone has used them and nothing, until I saw this. Awesome looking set up though man !!! Did you find it hard to scape ? I feel like that'd be the only set back, but not really a HUGE problem. How is the stock pump too ? My girlfriend said she'd go halves with me,so next week if they still have it,I'm going to grab it. Prozac828
Scaping was easy. Went through my rock collection and found a handful of small pieces and found a way to make them "fit" together. It was a little tighter than I am use to; I have a 40gallon now as well. The pump needed a small upgrade. The stock was a little weak, as is with most stock pumps I feel to save costs to the consumer. Easy fix for 20-30 extra bucks. Plus Innovative Marine announced a really nice SIMPLE 18W light that was designed for these tanks. Don't know what it will cost but would probably be strong enough and more than enough for a clean styled appearance to handle maybe soft and LPS coral... Or a FOWLER only tank Link to comment
Reefkid88
I figured the stock pump would be the first thing anyone would upgrade. I have a Hydor Pico 800 (200gph) I could replace it with,so that wouldn't be a issue. I'm really looking forward to see where you head with this,as you're one of the only people I've seen have one yet. Seemingly they are fairly new tanks. Link to comment
MrSexyShrimp
How is build quality? edit: Was looking at Cadlights AIO, but heard their build quality is going downhill. (Totally just read that on forums, no first hand experience.) Link to comment
Prozac828
I am very impressed and pleased with the built quality. It feels solid and looks just sexy. I can't compare it to a Cadlight tank, I've looked but never tried them. The silicone was done beyond professionally. Seamless and wonderful dimensions. The main display column has a great amount of space compared to the previous IM 8G and I would think even more rock space compared to the cadlights 8G. Don't quote me on that part. Plus... 2 more gallons and a LOT cheaper in price. But do expect to possibly put some cash into upgrades. But to be fair I feel any tank manufacture will have "faulty batches" or some poor reviews. It just happens when dealing with glass and maybe a clumsy mishap during shipping. All I can say.. For the money and size compared to other nano AIO tanks, you can't go wrong. Link to comment
Reefkid88
I'm gla to hear you rave about how good the quality of this tank is,because you're 110% right. The build quality on the 10 gallon is amazing. Like you said, the silicone job is amazing,it's so structurely sound and stable as well. The only thing I forgot to see was,how wide is the rear chamber ? I totally forgot to measure it. I wonder if a Hydor Pico 800 will fit back in the return chamber as for a new picO Skimz 2.0 skimmer.. Link to comment
MrSexyShrimp
I haven't even set up my 34 solana AIO, and I'm eyeing this as a nice second tank for sexy shrimp slash rock flower nem garden. Link to comment
seanoli
Sweet tank & scape. These came out right after I ordered my CAD Lights 8G; pretty happy with it but this does make me a little jealous. What do you think about the light? Is it too much for this size tank? Does mount allow the light to pivot at all? Finally got your tank, Mr.SS? Link to comment
Obsessed Reefer
Woooooooooo!! Finally, I've been waiting for someone to set one of these up! The sand looks sick! Can't wait to see it stocked. Link to comment
NanoDiver
I ordered the xr15 pro and the rsm mount. I've got a fan on the back so I'm going to try and mount it on the side of my tank. That side is close to a wall anyway. Not sure if it will work out right on the 20 if not I'll just have to lose the fan or mount it somewhere else Link to comment
