krourke85
Hi All, I always read that even 0.1ppm of ammonia is bad. Unfortunately both my ammonia test kits (API & Aquasonic) don't test below this amount. Even on the lowest reading of the colour chart I find myself constantly asking myself 'is that yellow or yellow with a hint of green??' I've read good things about the Seachem Ammonia test. Can anyone recommend a better one, or do you agree that this is best for accurate low-range ammonia testing. Specifically one with clear colour changes (digital would be best but I don't think that exists yet). Cheers! Link to comment
Tamberav
The API should be fine. If the tank is established, it's nothing to really worry about and 0.1ppm isn't going to kill your fish. No need to test ammonia once the tank is cycled and running properly unless something major goes wrong. Link to comment
