Icanhazcheeseburger
As the title suggest, does transferring inverts that have GHA on their shell into a brand new cycled tank seed the new tank for potentially causing a GHA outbreak or am I on the safe side with the GHA just bleaching and dying out because of the lack of nutrients it'll have in the new tank? PS I'm upgrading from a 6g to a 45g Link to comment
4x5
I wouldn't get rid of them - give their shells a little clean before you drop them in if you're concerned. Link to comment
farkwar
It only takes one almost microscopic sized algae cell to "seed" a system. That said, kill the GHA with hydrogen peroxide. Link to comment

PS I'm upgrading from a 6g to a 45g Just scrub the shell a bit and add them. GHA will just show up again if you give it the conditions to grow regardless if you knowingly introduce it or not. You can start with all dry rock and dry sand and yet the bacteria and GHA/diatoms STILL show up. You can't escape it. Link to comment
