I thought I had it once but thankfully it was red coralline. I have heard it is very hard to get rid of once had. Its going to be in every reef system. Removing what makes it grow out of control, obviously will keep it under control. Link to comment
JMarcink91 Posted August 21, 2014 Share Posted August 21, 2014 I had an issue with it. Just keep up on it. Water changes, siphon it out. Make sure youre not over feeding. Stir the sand bed a bit because i think that was my main issue..trapped detritus in the sand Link to comment
thadscottmoore Posted August 21, 2014 Share Posted August 21, 2014 how long has that tank been setup and what type lights do you use? like everyone mentioned- water change- vacuum that crud out. reduce and/or change food- increase flow in that area. Also, maybe invest into a GFO reactor to remove phosphates from system. Link to comment
yman182 Posted August 22, 2014 Author Share Posted August 22, 2014 Tank has been up for a little over a year. I have 4-mp10s in there so I do not think that it is a flow issue. I am feeding less and cleaning off the sand bed to see if it helps. I do a 10 gallon water change once a week. I will bump that up to twice a week until it goes away. Link to comment
