aviator300
I bought a small colony of GSP attached to a rock from my LFS about a month ago. It seemed green in their tank and it is growing well in mine BUT, the polyps are a brownish color and only a few have slightly green tips. They are in a 7gal tank with a Coral Compulsion par 38 20K bulb about 10" above the water. My parameters are good and other corals are coloring up nicely. This GSP grows well and is swaying in the current but it just wont turn green. BTW, i feed the tank twice a week with Rods coral blend and frozen cyclop eez. Does anyone have any ideas? http://s513.photobucket.com/user/fsuggs50/media/20140815_144410_zpsd0bbb6f9.jpg.html'> Link to comment
GHill762
did they just have a hint of green or were they bright green? I have brown star polyps which under blue light have a slight hint of metallic green to them, but they are just a brown/purple star polyp.. if they're actually GREEN star polyps they'll pretty much be green or dead.. Boggers
+1....if they do not look green under normal white light they are not likely GSP Link to comment
