CurtBoswell
The pair of clownfish I want have been at my lfs for the past 2-3 weeks. I won't be getting them for another 4 weeks at least. I've been looking at them for signs of disease recently. Their fins don't have any sign of damage. Their eyes aren't clouded or sunken in. They are swimming around a lot. They aren't hiding. The one thing I saw on one of them is a circle that is very tiny. It is a slightly different shade of white and it seems to be darker in the middle. What could this be? Should I be worried about it? Also the store claims to keep a small amount off copper in their tanks? So what are your thoughts on quarantining them? Link to comment
khriistian
I think you will be fine, I believe almost all the stores keep small amount of copper on fish tanks for a couple of purposes. But if your tank is healthy, parameters are good and they look good you should be good. Although a lot of people always recommend quarantine before adding to main tank if they have another type of fish in the system. Link to comment
CurtBoswell
These will be the only tank in the system. Will that little spot be of any concern? Link to comment
khriistian
Not at all, it can be something natural, like some kind of unique pattern that the clown has. Again if they look fine, EATING make sure they eat in the store before you buy, you should be good to get them and put them at home. Link to comment
