If your light fixture has multiple plugs to simulate dawn/dusk, put actinics and blues all on one plug to create the best effect.

As far as ATI bulbs go, IMHO, the Coral Plus is the successor to the Aquablue Special. After having used both, the Aquablue Special is yellow-tinted and gives a much more drab look than the Coral Plus, which is a very crisp white bulb that gives a much better look to the tank while keeping a very similar overall color temperature.

 

 

Also, the Giesemann Lagoon Blue is much akin to the Aquablue Special, and really gives a simply drab look.

It's because the ATI bulb isn't very popular. Most of the time a Blue+ is enough blue for us blue freaks.
