Reef friends/resources near Corvallis Oregon?

Hi all, new to reef-keeping, starting up a 10g all-in-one build. I was able to harvest a lot of supplies from previous freshwater tanks, but I was wondering if there was anyone near Corvallis Oregon with an established reef who might have some spare frags of easy corals? :) softies look pretty awesome, particularly star coral and frogspawn, but really any good starter coral would be great. I have a little cash but not as much as the aquarium stores want-- there's only a couple stores with fish so the prices are kind of high here.

Thanks for looking! Pics to come on the build!

While I live far far away from Corvallis, my dad teaches at OSU and the man at Animal House is very knowledgeable and could probably help you out. All for fish in Albany is pretty good, but not cheap. I have seen some pretty nice saltwater setups on Craigslist in the area, so I know there are a number of people in the hobby. The Marine sciences department at OSU may have some resources availible to you as well. HTH

Hi RK_tek! I think All For Fish went out of business sadly! Animal house is probably where I'll go to snag polyps and things, looking online for deals. I was actually looking for a marine aquarist's club or something on the OSU website but I didn't see that there were any started. Definitely craigslist-stalking though--I got most of my freshwater setup from Craigslist and it was fantastic. :)

Nothing in Eugene or maybe a day trip to Portland?

I currently reside in NC, but spent a few years out at OSU, man I love that little town :)
