FlowerMama
ha! I only enable flowers and you already have very pretty ones. You'll absolutely love them as they grow and change a little. The tentacles may have no barbs on them now ( like crosses) but many times after reaching like 2" they grow barbed. Link to comment

cindyp
hello reefers! i spent the weekend up north in SF to see one of my favorite authors: sarah waters. it was amazing. anyway, while i was gone, my new gsp frag fell, no injuries. but i changed the position of some of the coral before i fed the ric, favia, and flower nems today with mysis shrimp. everyone ate well! my super siayan zoas are browning. i'm not sure why. one is also shriveling a little, the bigger opens and looks healthy other than its face slowly turning brown. i've moved the plug into a shadier area as googling suggested sometimes they need to adjust to the light? all others in tank thriving. Some of these Zoas can be very finicky (usually the most expensive ones, it seems!). Generally speaking, Zoas like a lot of light while Palys seem to be content with a bit less. If the Zoa continues to brown and 'reaches' for the light when in the shadier area, then I'd move it to a higher light area. Link to comment

I knew that name sounded familiar and realized she just came out with The Paying Guests. your wife has good taste! yes, she's amazing. and i babbled at her for two minutes straight like the fangirl that i am. she was very gracious. and yes, i have The Paying Guest! excited to read it!! My wife loves her too. Got her new book for her last week. I knew that name sounded familiar and realized she just came out with The Paying Guests. you bought her the book? that is the most romangical thing ever. ha! i'm finally noticing a little bit of green algae on the tank glass just over four weeks in. time for a bit of scrubbing and water change tomorrow. cindyp
fungia in my tanka! okay, totally hokey but whatever, it's my thread. ha! the ultra fungia plate i saw online at a new LCS i've never visited was too big for my tank. probably about 3.5 inches? so i looked at all the samller plates and chose this one. nothing fancy, but she was only $35 versus $120. for all the enablers, i done did it. hope she likes it in my 8g. next purchase will be fishies. i've heard good things about the green clown goby. cindyp
Awesome color! I approve. THANK YOU! i'm really happy with the pick. it was my first time visiting that LCS too. cleaned the tank today with a blade (thanks for rec, 1stimereefer!) and did a major water change. my one ric is doing fabulous. he's eaten the mysis shrimp any time i'd been feeding the nems. neon mushroom in back not open as big as it can be, but it seems to be usually happy. i moved the favia to the middle of the tank as i've seen its sweepers and they've been pretty short, a few millileters. let's hope he's not got me fooled. cindyp
You should totally get a clown goby..I had a YCG and he was my absolute favoriteeeeeee!! i hope the LFS has one! so. i'm almost exactly four weeks into this tank (yes, i know, i jumped in early, eep!) and i'm noticing that my live rocks are beginning to take on a green tinge. my phosphates are at .25 according to API, not ideal. everything else i tested, nitrates, nitrites and ammonia were good. my old pico had hair and bubble algae issues. should i be concerned? i have no CUC other than stomatella snails. should i get a few ceriths? i loved them, they just knock everything over, which is annoying. thanks for any insights or advice!
